Carolyn Townes, OFS, (national animator for Justice, Peace and integrity of Creation) has launched an e-newsletter celebrating creation and the encyclical, “Laudato Si: on care for our common home.”
Titled “Creation 3, 2, 1,” the premier edition coincides with the 50th anniversary of Earth Day (April 22) and also celebrates the upcoming 5th anniversary of the ‘Laudato Si’ encyclical (signed by Pope Francis on May 24 and released June 18).
“Each week until September 1st,” Carolyn notes, “I will share 3 ideas about environmental justice, 2 quotes from Laudato Si and 1 weekly call to action or question to ponder. This week’s edition is all about Sister Mother Earth as we commemorate Earth Day.”
