Bl. Kateri Tekakwitha Region is sponsoring a Formation Workshop Oct. 14-16 at Christ the King Retreat Center in Syracuse to introduce the new national formation manual and related materials.

"The Alma Kraus Memorial Regional Formation Workshop" is designed for all formation directors, formation team members, ministers, spiritual assistants and council members. A grant from the Alma Kraus Memorial Endowment is helping to reduce lodging/meal costs and pay for the manual, CD/DVD, and related handouts. As a result, the cost to attend is only $100 per person.

Six members of the Regional Formation Team participated in the National Formators Workshop in May, where the new formation material was unveiled. An initiative of both the international and national fraternities, the new U.S. manual is titled, "For Up to Now: Foundational Topics for Initial Formation."

A mailing with registration information is being sent to all fraternities in the region.
