Dramatic Performance
To Highlight Secular Franciscan
Day at Kateri Shrine in Fonda

FONDA, NY -- The annual Secular Franciscan Pilgrimage at Bl. Kateri Tekakwitha National Shrine in Fonda on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 will feature a dramatic presentation by Act 4 Him, a husband-and-wife traveling ministry.

The drama, titled "Joseph, A Father's Struggle," will immediately follow 10:30 a.m. Mass. Fr. Kevin Kenny, OFM Conv., director of the Shrine, will be the celebrant.

Secular Franciscans are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy fellowship following the presentation, and then explore the shrine facilities and grounds in the afternoon where they may want to pray the rosary or stations of the cross.

The presentation will take the audience on Joseph's journey of love, both for his new wife and the unborn child.

"Our mission is simple: help people develop a deeper understanding of the Bible and most importantly guide them to a closer relationship and a decision for Christ," note Matthew and Tina Zawisza on their website, act4himdramaministry.com. Act 4 Him performed "John, the Beloved Desciple" at last year's Fonda Day.

"Here is a man specifically chosen by Almighty God to be the protector of His only begotten Son. Rather than forgotten, Joseph should be remembered. His life should be an example of faith, obedience and trust to all."

Act 4 Him is based in Schenectady, NY.
